VACANCIES:Befriending & Social Inclusion Coordinator AND Family Support Workers

We are recruiting for two roles, details of which can be found below. A full job description can be downloaded below the information for each role. We are happy to consider applicants for one or both roles.

Befriender & Social Inclusion Coordinator

We provide befriending and social inclusion, support for families and individuals, counselling, a variety of support groups and the Okehampton Music Centre. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our positive and caring organisation.

The successful candidate will fully understand the benefits of befriending and social inclusion. They will promote them in the local community, build relationships with other organisations, safely recruit and train volunteers, assess clients and match them with volunteers, gain evaluation information and assist with accessing funding for the sustainability and development of the scheme.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly motivated, conscientious and community focused
  • A great communicator
  • Well organised
  • Experienced to provide support

Family Support Worker -Background and Role Summary

We provide support for families and individuals, counselling, a befriending service, a variety of support groups and the Okehampton Music Centre. We are looking to appoint highly motivated and enthusiastic family workers to join our positive and caring organisation.

Are you are keen to work with families to transform service delivery and improve outcomes? Do you have proven experience and abilities in the following areas?

  • Supporting families and individuals, focusing on creative solutions
  • Dealing with difficult situations and individuals in a calm and confident manner
  • Positive communication skills
  • Well organised
  • Educated to work with families to at least level 3
